About Daamadol

Schrödinger’s Wardrobe: old and new at the same time.

It started with jeans that refused to fit

DAAMADOL didn’t begin with a collection. It began with a pair of jeans that refused to fit.

Being pear-shaped, denim shopping was always a strange little battle:

  • Buy the recommended size → the waist had enough room to host a small gathering.
  • Size down for the waist → the jeans wouldn’t make it past my hips.

Finding a pair that fit both felt nearly impossible.

So one night I looked at my wardrobe and thought: what if I fixed them instead?

A little adjustment here. A little reshaping there. And suddenly, they fit like a glove.

For once I wasn’t pulling them up, tugging at the waist, or thinking about how uncomfortable my jeans felt. I loved them so much I genuinely didn’t want to take them off.

That was the moment DAAMADOL started taking shape.

Upcycled, but make it beautiful

Surely I couldn’t be the only person in a trial room wondering why clothes expect every body to follow the exact same proportions.

So I started thinking beyond alteration. What if the clothes we already own could become something completely different? Something worth wearing again. Something beautiful enough that nobody looks at it and thinks, “Oh, that’s upcycled.”

Somewhere along the way, upcycled fashion became shorthand for unfinished, overly crafty, or a compromise. I wanted the opposite.

I wanted pieces that make people ask: “Where did you get that?”

Where were the flowers?

Look around at denim. Regular fit, straight leg, wide leg, cargo, flared. Blue, black, grey. Distressed, ripped, faded. Again and again.

But where were:

  • the flowers?
  • the hand embroidery?
  • the unexpected colours?
  • the little details that make a pair of jeans feel like yours, not everyone’s?

That became DAAMADOL. A wardrobe where old can become new. Where denim doesn’t disappear into the background. Where clothes can be altered, revived, painted and embroidered instead of forgotten at the back of a cupboard.

Handmade, never half-made

We don’t believe handmade should mean compromising on quality. Every piece is made with intention, from the garment and construction to the smallest painted stroke and embroidered detail.

Each piece is individually hand-painted, hand-embroidered and thoughtfully finished. Which means something we absolutely love:

No two pieces will ever look completely identical.

  • A brushstroke may curve a little differently.
  • A flower may bloom a little differently.
  • An embroidered detail may carry its own tiny variation.

That isn’t an imperfection. That is the point. Your DAAMADOL piece passed through actual human hands before reaching yours, so it has its own character. Just like the person wearing it.

So wear the flowers

Wear the embroidery. Wear the jeans people notice from across the room. Revamp what you already love, or find something new that doesn’t look like everything else on the rack.

Because fitting in is overrated.

Your clothes should stand out, just like you do.
